About the Apartments

How many apartments does Casa Rosa House have?

Where exactly is Casa Rosa House located?
We are located in the historic centre of Cascais, on the Portuguese Riviera. Beaches, restaurants, museums, and the train station are all within a 5–10 minute walk.
How do I book one of the apartments?
All three apartments are listed on Airbnb. Visit our Airbnb Listings page to find links to each property. You can also contact us directly by email or phone and we'll help you find the right apartment for your stay.
Is there parking at or near the property?
There is no dedicated parking at the property itself. However, several paid car parks and metered street parking are available nearby. See our Parking Guide for full details. Many guests find it easiest to take the train from Lisbon and avoid driving entirely.

About Cascais

How far is Cascais from Lisbon?
Cascais is approximately 30km west of Lisbon. By train, the journey takes 35–40 minutes and is scenic, following the coastline. It's one of the most affordable and pleasant train journeys in Europe.
Is Cascais safe?
Yes, Cascais is considered one of the safest towns in Portugal and in Europe. Crime rates are very low and the town is welcoming to visitors and expats. Normal precautions should always be taken, as in any tourist destination.
What language do people speak in Cascais?
Portuguese is the official language, but English is very widely spoken in Cascais — more so than most Portuguese towns, partly due to the large expat and international visitor community. You will have no difficulty getting by in English.
What is the best time of year to visit?
Cascais is wonderful year-round. Summer (June–September) is the most popular for beaches and warm weather, but also the most crowded. Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer mild weather, fewer tourists, and lower prices — many regulars consider these the best times to visit.
Can I visit Sintra from Cascais?
Absolutely — Sintra is a very popular day trip from Cascais. The Scotturb 403 bus runs between the two towns, passing the spectacular Cabo da Roca (westernmost point of mainland Europe) along the way. See our Transportation page for details.
